The Plan of Redemption in the Bible

Q. When did God plan redemption for man? Was it when man became so wicked? I heard one preacher say that redemption was planned by God before the world was created. How can this possibly be correct?

GEN 1:27
And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

GEN 1:31
And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

GEN 2:15 -17
Then the LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.”

GEN 3:6
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

GEN 3:13
Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” 14 And the LORD God said to the serpent,
” Because you have done this,
Cursed are you more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly shall you go,
And dust shall you eat
All the days of your life;
15* And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

GEN 3:22 Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”–

GEN 3:23
therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.

GEN 3:24
So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every direction, to guard the way to the tree of life.

MAT 18:1
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, 3 and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.

EZE 18:20
“The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.

JAMES 4:17
Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does not do it, to him it is sin.

ROM 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

ROM 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

ISA 59:1
Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short
That it cannot save;
Neither is His ear so dull
That it cannot hear.
2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.

ROM 5:9
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

EPH 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,

1JO 1:7
but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

REV 1:5
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us, and released us from our sins by His blood,

JOHN 19:30 – 34
When Jesus therefore had received the sour wine, He said, ” It is finished!” And He bowed His head, and gave up His spirit. 31 The Jews therefore, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 The soldiers therefore came, and broke the legs of the first man, and of the other man who was crucified with Him; 33 but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs; 34 but one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.

ROM 6:3 – 6
Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin;

ACTS 8:30
And when Philip had run up, he heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”

ROM 6:17 -8
But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, 18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

ACTS 2:38
And Peter said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

ACTS 22:16
‘And now why do you delay? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.’

ACTS 4:12
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.”

GAL 3:27
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

EPH 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

1CO 12:13
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

EPH 1:22
And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all.

MAR 16:16
” He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Rev. 2:10
10* ‘Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
