Not much. As I’m sure you are aware, astrology is based on bad science. The basis of astrology is a belief that the universe revolves around the earth. I know that in modern times astrologers have updated their beliefs and materials, but it still must be admitted that astrology has it’s beginnings in a flawed view of the universe.
The biblical view is that stars are a reminder of God’s continued blessings:
“Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.'”
“‘The LORD your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are this day like the stars of heaven in number.”
1 Chron. 27:23
“But David did not count those twenty years of age and under, because the LORD had said He would multiply Israel as the stars of heaven.”
Stars are a reminder of God’s divine control:
5 “It is God who removes the mountains, they know not how, When He overturns them in His anger;
6 Who shakes the earth out of its place, And its pillars tremble;
7 Who commands the sun not to shine, And sets a seal upon the stars;
8 Who alone stretches out the heavens And tramples down the waves of
9 Who makes the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south;
10 Who does great things, unfathomable, And wondrous works without number.
Beside God the stars are insignificant:
“And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.”
42 “But God turned away and delivered them up to serve the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, ‘IT WAS NOT TO ME THAT YOU OFFERED VICTIMS AND SACRIFICES FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS, WAS IT, O HOUSE OF ISRAEL?
43 ‘YOU ALSO TOOK ALONG THE TABERNACLE OF MOLOCH AND THE STAR OF THE GOD ROMPHA, THE IMAGES WHICH YOU MADE TO WORSHIP. I ALSO WILL REMOVE YOU BEYOND BABYLON.’
Both Deut. 4:19 and Acts 7:42-43 give us a clear view of how God sees those who “worship” or place their trust in the stars. It’s foolish to put trust in objects, which the creator has made. Our trust should be placed in God.
