Q. Prophecy states that "The Gospel will go forth from Jerusalem." The Premillennial doctrine states that this is yet to take place. What do you say?
Premillennial doctrine does indeed teach that the fulfillment of many prophecies surrounding the Kingdom are yet to take place. In order to take such a position, one must ignore what the Scriptures teach about the fulfillment of many passages.
"And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."
This is a "Kingdom" passage. The church and the kingdom are one in the same.
The question is, has this prophecy been fulfilled?
Mt 4:23* Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.
Mt 11:5* the BLIND RECEIVE SIGHT and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM.
Lu 4:18* "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
Mr 13:10* "The gospel must first be preached to all the nations.
Mr 16:15* And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Lu 16:16* "The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
Eph 3:6* to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
1* ? Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
2* To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.
3* ? We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4* since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints;
5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel
6* which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the grace of God in truth;
7* just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,
8* and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit.
