Q. Did the saints receive a spiritual or physical sovernity, power and greatness of the kingdoms or both, when did this take place?
26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. (KJV)
Notice that we are dealing with an everlasting kingdom. The only everlasting kingdom ever to be established is the church or the kingdom of our Lord. This took place during the time of the Roman Empire. This took place during the time of the fourth beast. ‘
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall (KJV)
In Daniel’s vision he saw 4 great beasts. These beasts were 4 kings or kingdoms to exist between the time of Daniel and Christ.
Dan 7:17 17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. (KJV)
The four kingdoms were 1) Babylon, 2) Medo-Persia, 3) Greece, and 4) Rome. So the 4th kingdom was the Roman kingdom and that was when Jesus came to this earth the first time and established the church.
